New Features for WilsonWeb

Text-to-Speech Now Available for Biography Reference Bank

AVL announced on July 14, 2009 that text-to-speech is now available for Biography Reference Bank. Biography Reference Bank users can:
   - Listen at their workstations as streaming audio
   - Download biographies as MP3 files to iPods or other portable devices
   - Hear the full text as you read along for better comprehension and pronunciation
Text-to-Speech is available at no additional cost and doesn't require any
software downloads or special plug-ins.

Yearly "Popcorn n' Picture Books" Presentation at HCL

On May 19th, Ms. Charnigo, our education librarian held her yearly presentation on picture books. Newly purchased children and young adult books were exhibited. She discussed the gothic in children's literature, talking animals in children's literature and comics in children's books in her presentation. Go to her blog to find out books she recommended!
